Founded by Chantal Hambides, whose design education began in the creative heart of Cape Town, the studio’s foundation is deeply grounded in South African craftsmanship, texture, and an instinctive connection to earth and space.
Today, the studio specialises in thoughtful home renovations and full-service furnishing projects, creating interiors that feel refined, personal, and enduring.
After years of working on residential and commercial projects throughout South Africa, Chantal’s path led to Amsterdam, where more than five years immersed in European design sharpened her appreciation for clean lines, functional living, and contemporary restraint.
Now based in Greenville, South Carolina, Chantal Hambides Interiors brings together the warmth of African design and the clarity of European minimalism – creating spaces that feel layered, soulful, and lived-in, yet intentional, refined, and timeless.
